Role Overview
As a Tender Briefing Attendee, you’ll be the face of TenderBriefAttendtm at client briefings. You’ll attend tender meetings (virtually or in person), take detailed notes, ask relevant questions, and deliver concise summaries to our clients—ensuring they never miss a beat when it comes to tender opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend Tender Briefings
- Represent clients professionally at scheduled tender meetings.
- Arrive (or log in) on time and prepared with background knowledge of each client’s goals.
- Capture Essential Details
- Take thorough notes on timelines, submission requirements, scope changes, and other essential elements.
- Identify and document any potential risks or areas needing clarification.
- Ask Smart Questions
- Proactively engage in Q&A sessions to clarify ambiguous points on behalf of clients.
- Ensure all queries are addressed, so our clients have complete information to craft strong bids.
- Prepare Post-Briefing Summaries
- Organize and refine your notes into a concise, easy-to-read report.
- Highlight key takeaways, deadlines, and any follow-up actions needed.
- Maintain Professionalism & Compliance
- Uphold the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices to provide accurate insights.
What We’re Looking For
- A foundation in procurement or project management.
- Solid administrative, communication, and analytical skills.
- A working knowledge of legal and compliance frameworks that govern state and private tenders.
- The flexibility to attend briefings in different locations and the tech-savviness to handle virtual sessions.
Part-Time / Project-Based Contractor
Per Briefing Rate: R250 (typically a briefing lasts 1-1.5 hours)
Travel Reimbursement: SARS rate per kilometer, e.g. Total cost = 50 km × R4.64 = R232
Distance traveled: 50 km round-trip
SARS rate (example): R4.64 per km
Total cost = 50 km × R4.64 = R232
Your total fee: R 482
Accommodation: Reimbursed on actual costs if traveling beyond a set radius
