We’re calling on experienced software development experts to partner with us on a national-level initiative involving the rollout of a large-scale dashboard, reporting system, and field audit tool. This is a 36-month project that requires precision, speed, and strong technical credentials.
We’re looking for teams who can meet the following functional and technical requirements:

✅ Platform Development
- Web-based cloud-hosted dashboard to manage and report on 250,000+ smart meter points
- Advanced data integration from smart meters, financial systems, vending platforms, and Eskom supplier billing
- Real-time reporting, GIS maps, and customizable performance dashboards
✅ API Integration & Data Warehousing
- Full API documentation with endpoints for account updates, meter readings, invoices, and transactions
- Must support or prefer webhook integration for asynchronous data flow
- Centralized data warehouse for analysis and historical archiving (5+ years)
✅ Field Verification & Audit Tool
- Mobile-compatible audit tool for on-site verification
- Must support:
- GPS location capture
- Photo uploads with metadata
- OCR for meter numbers
- Automated exception reporting
- Secure cloud storage with multi-user access
✅ Compliance & Infrastructure
- Fully SaaS model, browser-based (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
- No browser add-ons or local installations required
- All IP, licensing, and source code must be assignable
- Delivery must include project management, support, and maintenance for 3 years
📍 Location Requirements
There is no restriction on bidder or subcontractor location. Subcontractors from all regions in South Africa are encouraged to apply, with strong remote collaboration capabilities.
