📢 Request for Quotations: Subcontract Works – Eastern Cape Projects
Bid Ref: RFQ-HVAC-EC-LML-0925-01
We invite interested and suitably qualified subcontractors to submit quotations for mechanical and related building works in the Eastern Cape region (covering projects located in Lusikisiki, Mqanduli, and Libode).
These opportunities are linked to confirmed public sector contracts with active site progress. The remaining scope represents an estimated working capital value of several (R2-5m) million rand, making it critical that subcontractors demonstrate both technical ability and financial readiness.
⚙️ Scope of Work
- Mechanical & HVAC installations (not supply of HVAC just installation)
- General builders’ works associated with hospital upgrades
- Installation of approved equipment and materials
- Compliance with JBCC N/S Subcontract Agreement requirements
💰 Financial Capacity Requirement
To be considered, subcontractors must demonstrate financial strength. Applicants will be required to show:
- Proof of available working capital or access to credit facilities
- Valid construction guarantees, e.g. variable construction guarantee, advance payment guarantee, or performance guarantee, issued by an AA-rated insurer or bank
- Updated financial statements and/or bank confirmation of capacity
- Broker’s Commission: In consideration of securing this opportunity, the subcontractor hereby must agree to pay the broker a commission of 3% (three percent) of the contract value, payable immediately upon signing of the subcontractor agreement. The commission is once-off and separate from any payments to be received by the subcontractor for executing the works.
Quotations without evidence of financial capacity will not be evaluated.

- Company profile with track record in similar projects
- Proof of financial capacity and guarantees
- Valid tax clearance, CSD report, and B-BBEE affidavit
- Proposed rates/quotation for the identified scope
